Cheryl D. Lovell, Ph.D.
As a low-income, first-generation college student, Former President Lovell brought enthusiasm to Adams State’s mission to provide access and opportunity to all students, especially for historically under-served groups. She is passionate about addressing how a college degree helps move people up the economic ladder and creates social mobility within their lives.
Dr. Lovell received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of West Georgia and her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Florida State University. She has 35+ years of extensive leadership experiences in higher education in Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, and Colorado.
